Hi I am about to head out to Arrecife next week to view some apartments with the intention of purchasing a family home. (initially using it for holidaying several times a year) Looking for some like minded people who have made this step and are willing to share their tips and advice...

We bought here last year… you definitely need a gestora to help you through the process and I can heartily recommend Silvia Garcia Hurtado who was brilliant.

Just remember you need about 10% over the asking price for taxes and solicitor fees. But good luck and welcome to the island.

We bought here 22 years ago and my advice is buy a property you can let no further than 1000 metre from the coast with permission to let eg - tourist license as overheads are high if you don't have an income to help with costs.

Hi, I have just purchased in Playa Blanca, you have to remember however much you spend it is 10% extra in fees and then you have a lot of other expenses on top, but go for it, it is a great feeling once it is all sorted.
