Can anyone recommend: Query about cash Pedro playa Blanca

Hello all , we are frequent travellers to PB ( maybe 30 times ) and I wondered if it’s ok to pick your brains ? We recently ate at Casa Pedro near the town beach and although the food was good they have a couple of strange scams going on ; I wondered if I should report to someone to stop PB getting a bad name as lots of people mentioning it on trip advisor too ;

Scam one ; they pretend the card machine isn’t working but don’t tell you until you e spent loads of money , so if you’ve got a bank card with you they direct you to the local machine which charges you 5 euro ; so if you paid by Apple Pay on your watch normally you’d be struggling

Secondly they bring the bill and present you with a bottle of Prosecco that you don’t want but they actually charge you for it in the bill ! The bill isn’t itemised and if you ask for it to be they get stroppy so you end up with a really big bill and no idea how they calculated it ; who should this be reported to or is there no point ?

Defo I would report this that’s so bad and that restaurant has been there years !!!! Bad on them they don’t need to do that surely .

I agree but I’m not really sure who to report it to ; in the UK it would be local trading standards . It’s a lovely restaurant with a great reputation so seems a shame that it’s become this x

It is a disgraceful restaurant which should be avoided by all tourists.

I think putting this on trip adviser will really help but I will also make enquiries who else we can report it to

Sadly this leaves visitors with the wrong impression of lanzarote- where bar and restaurant owners are just great - taxis too

Spread the word on face book and trip adviser for now

I did put it on trip advisor but wanted to see if I could report it to the equivalent of the tourist board as it gives the wrong impression to visitors when 99% of the restaurant owners are great x

I have a tourist license and this is like a union offering owners advise- we have to have by law a complaint book giving guests access on line and a book in the villa- I will ask ascaf if restaurants have to follow something similar- the fact that more than one persons has written about this does make you suspicious.

All restaurants too where we go itemise their bills- they will get caught out as everyone researches trip adviser these days- and i for one will not be eating there so your complaint already has had effect
