I have not seen any evidence to say this is the case. Once you have your Visa you then start the process of application for resindencia so you do not need a further Visa. However you do have to prove your income again at the next stage.

It's not as easy as that a Non Lucrative Visa is what I need  because we're retiring out there I need 27'000€ in savings for me and 9000€ for the wife and I belive it's more the 2nd yr

Yes it is double for the second year. It is quite complicated but I do think that you only need to pay for the Visa once.

Sorry to jump in but hope this helps

We have property and 90 days access is useless we can't rent it long-term now to brits as the can't come.

Holidays let's are poor atm

Spain need get there arse in gear if they still want Brits they needs sort it quickly.

My advise would be not to buy atm as its unlikely you will make money but will have costs

We want to move to Lanzarote but are considering shelving this now due to the complexities of visas remember a NLV doesn't allow you to work if you do need some extra revenue

The second year NLV is double the income because its for 2 years as is the next for a further 2 years making 5 in total after which you will have permanent residency but you will not be in there heath or social security system.

Thanks to all the Gammons who voted BrexShit effectively destroying retiree lives and kids futures.

Hope that helps

Steve
