Do families with young children move to Lanzarote?
Hi,
We've just got back from holiday, its perhaps the fifth time we've visited the island and the thought of moving out there won't go away! I've been searching the internet for information and advice but one thing I can't find are posts from young families that have made the move. At the risk of using broad generalisations, it seems that most people that have relocated are retired or perhaps 50+ with grown up families left at home. We are around 40 (my wife won't appreciate that) and have three young boys below 5 years old. Its the same old story of 'there must be more to life than this', working in unsatisfying jobs to buy things that don't make you happy. We'd love to live a more relaxed outdoors lifestyle giving them the best childhood and spending more quality time together.
Are we alone or do many families like us make the move, British or other nationalities? Before we start to take this flight of fantasy seriously it would be great to have some feel for the profile of new residents - do people like us do this?! Any help, advice or insights would be amazing! Thank you
