Hi everyone! We are a retired couple (early 60s ) and are seriously considering making the move.  A bit of history- we own a small house in Playa Blanca that we could happily live in. We bought it 4 years ago and love it! Might trade it in for bigger once we are settled.
Could anyone recommend someone who could guide us through the process of getting residence? I have Irish passport so am ok to settle but my beloved husband is English only so limited by Brexit nightmare.
Have been reading up on the situation as anticipated in January and think we could qualify ( by keeping a wedge in the bank) just want help to get it done.

Thanks for reading this

Sal

Hi Sal, My folks did exactly the same thing and have been living here now for 16 years. They did all the paperwork themselves but it is a lot easier to get someone else to do it. I am looking at residency and have been recommended to use Guy Buske who you can find online by searching A-Z Paperwork. Let me know how you get on.Cheers, Ashley.

We are in the final stage of the residencia process and have been helped and supported by Silvia Garcia Hurtado who has been fabulous. Just google her name for contacts. She is bilingual.

Dear Sal,

You seem to be progressing nicely with your move, lucky you, I hope it all goes well.

Like you, we own a villa in PB but are considering down-sizing. Once you are settled and are still thinking of up-sizing perhaps we can swap details/have a chat ?

           Kind regards

           Panama

Yes Gary I have had a message from her too.

My understanding is that you can leave the UK if you have a property abroad but at the moment Spain won't let  you in !

Certainly this was the position on the 30th March. Pleas see the message i got then form someone 'in the know' :

I've now had it confirmed, and you won't be able to travel in April. The UK government website has also been updated:  https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, and let's hope this changes at the end of April, when it's due to run out.

Kind regards

Mike
