Hi guys

Iam looking for some advice.

I've been thinking about moving from Ireland to lanzorote to start a new life. Iam 28 years old from Ireland iam wondering what would be the possibility of moving here and actually creating a life for myself. Is there many jobs places to live ect any help would be appreciated thank you

To be very honest, if you are planning to move lock, stock and barrel and really make a permanent life here, I would recommend it! It’s a safe place, including environmentally. People are wonderful, culture and community are strong values here. No one works themselves to death. Jobs are available in lots of fields and new people who want to join Canarian society are welcome. And spanish an easy language to learn. I discovered it too late. My grown children ( your age) would not let me stay forever! But I would recommend it to them, so I send you one positive vote. Susan from UK

I only know well the north of the island. Costa Teguise would be the town I’d recommend. Everything is available within walking distance - groceries, post office, pharmacy, all kinds of shops and lovely beach.  Only about 5km from Arrecife, making access to city and to airport very close and cheap by taxi.  The south end of island is more popular with British ex-pats or snowbirds, but much further from capital and airport.  Costa Teguise is lovely.  I recommend taking a look there.  North of island is quieter and I think just as beautiful.

I would suggest Sue Cox Immobiliaria in Costa Teguise for an agent. At hotel Corona Playa.
