Transferwise for Utilities?

Does anyone know if Transferwise can be used for local direct debits instead of a traditional bank account?
I love TransferWise. But not sure they do DDs yet. It’s on the way.
Can you do in UK?

I've not tried but have read that it is possible but may depend on the individual company. Transferwise do say on their website that you can and you get a bank account number with IBAN but not a Spanish IBAN, it's Belgium so maybe a problem.
