Hi, We arrived back in Lanzarote after being away for a couple of months due to lockdown and as you can imagine everywhere was full of dust etc. so we spent the day washing everything down. The next morning on one of the outside walls of the patio clusters of small insects had appeared and they are also on the wooden roof of the patio and legs of the outside furniture. We have never seen them before. Has anybody any information as to what they are and how to get rid of them ? They don't seem to move during the day but overnight the clusters have moved. Any advice welcome.

Hi there. Call the exterminator! They could be termites. The exterminator Alex is really good. Tel.689085508. Call him.

Hi, these are cochineal, they will have spread from plants. I have a chemical spray and would be able to come and treat your wall and garden. If you would like to have a chat about them please give me a call. 00 34 676 096 877  Best wishes Debs

Hi Margot and Debs, thank you both for your advice, they were cochineal. We have now pruned back all the overgrown bushes and the little offenders have all gone. Thank you
