Wooden houses in Playa Blanca possible?

Good morning Alex , good morning to everyone reading my message.
Due to the lack of information online, and because is quite possible in so many other countries , I'll repeat my topic :
It is possible to buy a piece of land in Playa Blanca and build our own wooden house (which can be easy covered by white painted materials, so we don't 'spoil' the surroundings) , and then life a nice and peaceful life in a perfect environment? Or .... everyone should follow the guidance and use cement and volcanic rock local materials? For me my idea can be the cheapest way of having our own house not spending a fortune .
