Dear All,
I am coming back to the Island in December and will be staying at my villa in PB. I am interested in doing a little bit of fishing from the shore but understand that I need to buy a licence. Where do I get one from ? Additionally, where is the best place to get fishing equipment ?

You can go on line to order,pay and print out your license. Read the regulations. You are not allowed to fish off the beach. Only off rocks. Also a limit of how close to swimming areas you are.

If your are 65 you get a licence alot cheaper

Ok a 3yr licence will cost roughly 50€

Cheers Gary, I am applying tomorrow.
Any idea where I can get decent fishing gear ? Last time I was there the 'China Bazaar' just out of town had some but I am not sure it had quality {Shimano etc}

With hooks no you can get hooks from the China bazzar or next door ferrocur(spelling)
China bazarr will be cheap and nasty
Or from the mercatodo opposite bus station
