A long shot could be driving through Yaiza rather than around Yaiza.  We have a largish Unide supermarket on the right side of the road by the main road which could/should be open for part of the day.

The Belen in Yaiza is a must visit...both in the light and the dark...after the church by our large square.  40sq ms of scenic Xmas villages.
