Hi. I’m new to this forum, so go easy! I’m a teacher in the UK looking at buying a property in Lanzarote in the next few years with an eye to retiring out there. I’m a single man with no dependents and earn a good salary. My question is this, assuming I buy an apartment outright, which hopefully I will be able to do, how much annual income do you think is more than enough to live well in Lanzarote. I realise this question is a bit subjective, but apart from 3-4 flights back to the UK/Ireland a year and running a small car with no mortgage with just utilities and household expenses, I’m thinking it ought to be fairly reasonable? My goal is to divide my time between Ireland (where I was born) and Lanzarote. Cheers folks!
