Hi

Coming 14th Sept. 🤞

Will we be able to get a  pre departure test in Puerto del carmen, or should we bring our own?

Thanks

Yes, you can get a pre-departure test in Puerto del Carmen - take a look at the list on this web site.  You may need to make an appointment but this can be done on line in some cases.

Just back from canaries, we bought a pre travel from Breatheassured. Take it with you then a zoom call on phone with RGN. She watches you do it then looks at test after 15 mins and emails you a certificate right away. Test is only up nostrils and costs £32 each.

Hiya Joyce

Please use the link below to find the British Hospital which is a clinic in the middle of Puerto Del Carmen on Avenida de las Playas. You only need to book an Antigen test for UK return if you have been double jabbed.

The cost is €45 and you get your result on a printed travel document in 20 minutes to half an hour. You may find tests online cheaper, which you take with you, but they involve going on zoom calls or Skype or waiting 24 hours for a result.

For peace of mind I think this is the best solution. I have mine booked for 2 days prior to landing back in the UK. The window is three days prior to arriving back in the UK. The website allows you to book your own appointment up to a month in advance.

Have a great time and stay safe.

Hi Joyce

I used Hospiten Lanzarote https://hospiten.com/centros-y-hospitales/hospiten-lanzarote last March for an antigen test.  I made an appointment online but this was not necessary, you can just turn up.  Nostrils only, done by a nurse, waited for about 20 minutes then received a certificate.  Cost €30. I have read the instructions for doing your own and reporting via zoom but the hospital seems more reliable.  Have a wonderful time.  I am hoping to go again in December.

Thanks, will be following this as we are due to arrive in Lanzarote on 9th Sept and will have to find the best place to have the test done before re-entering UK.

Pauline :)

Some replies on here to this question are giving you very expensive answers

We got our fit to fly return tests as recommended from our resort host at the Papaguayo Centre 20 euros each inc certificate

Wish we were back at Las Brisas but maybe later in the year

Hi Tricia

Papagayo is in Playa Blanca. Joyce is going to and has asked about testing Puerto Del Carmen. We have all responded with the prices and places we know. We're not selling the service.
