26 Male and 23 Female looking to move to Puerto Del Carmen for around 6 months

Hi All,
Myself and my girlfriend are looking for advice on moving to Lanzarote for about 6 months sometime in the near future. We have done some research on a checklist of things to do before moving but any advice here would still be greatly appreciated.
Our main concern is finding a place to live while there. We have heard stories of scams on idealista and fotocasa so advice on the best ways to secure accomodation is welcomed.
I work remotely and my girlfriend is hoping to find a retail/bar job while there.
If anyone has advice that can help make the whole process easier we would be very grateful. Thanks!
