I’m looking to move to Lanzarote soon and want to know if there are any new/used car dealerships on the island, makes and prices etc. Can anyone help?

Hi, I'm sure your aware buying a used vehicle here is a bit of a nightmare !           You need to open a bank account with at least 5k in it, and will need to employ someone to research the cars past history or you will cop for any unpaid fines etc.

Also a car that would be a £500 banger back home would be three times as much here.

There are plenty new dealerships on the island but am unsure of the law regarding purchase ( do you need to be a resident etc )

Hope you've purchased a home as rentals are nearly impossible to find. Unless your in a very remote are the buses are brilliant and taxis very cheap. Hope that helps, I'm sure someone with more knowledge will help if I'm wrong.

Kind regards.  Stuart.
