Hola! Thank you for adding me to this forum. I'm planning to move to lanzarote from the uk and I would like to secure a job. I am looking at rental properties,  not going to buy.  I am moving on my own and as a consequence only have my income ( and a little savings) to support myself. Can anyone give me any information as to finding work and legalities of working in lanzarote... do I need a national insurance number etc. I have a coach drivers licence so was hoping to get a job doing that but am unsure if my licence is valid for that type of work abroad. Direct gov website here isn't very clear or helpful! In the meantime any type of hotel or bar work would suit but I don't know where to search or how to go about applying - any help or advise would be greatly appreciated. :) It's scary doing it on my own! Amy

Hi I have lived in Lanzarote for 15 months and I am close to completing my residency application. You will probably get answers from people with more expertise as I have just stumbled through the process. However, I would be happy to share my experience if you think it may help. I will send you my email in a private message, get in touch if you think I may be able to help. John
