Lanzarote “Camino “

Hi having done the complete walk and sections on various days it’s a long walk but at least 90% is on tracks and even the road sections are not that bad. 

I would recommend starting at Orzola. Not sure what your timescale for the walk but it’s a relatively easy walk over 3 days but if it’s hot this can be a problem.

Thanks a lot for your reply. We are planning to complete the walk in 5 stages, staying overnight in each town (Haria, Teguise, San Bartolome, Yaiza), We were inspired when our daughter completed the 790 km Camino de Santiago last year but think that may be a bit too much!

Over 5 days that would be no drama, the first 2 days are fairly easy other than a couple of climbs particularly the climb out of Haría along the old pilgrim trail but once you get on top it’s mainly easy track walking to Teguise. The bit between Teguise and St Bartolomé is strangely a bit of a drag and if hot very tiring.

The fourth and final sections are not too bad the last across some very rocky paths.

There are great walks all over the island and if you want anymore help just ask, I have walked around and across the island more times than I can remember, cheers
