Meeting people and meetup events eventually

Hi All.

I'm moving to Lanzarote the 30Th of January from the UK to work in La Santa resort village.

I would like to meet people during days off or going (Maybe even organize once properly settled) to events with others,is there agroup on meetup or facebook,etc.. dedicated to this.

Is it people eventually organizing things on that forum as well.
