Hi
I arrive tomorrow and have the opportunity to borrow my Canarian friends car. I'm not insured via my Uk insurance and have been advised to either get Spainish cover whilst there ( hoping 8 to 10 wks) or my friend insures me on his insurance. I would prefer to insure myself so as not to bother my friend. Any advice appreciated. Cheers Claire :-)

In Spain it’s the car that is insured not the driver so if your friend has fully comprehensive insurance it will apply to any driver
