I landed in Lanzarote last week to be held back at immigration  until 300 Irish passport holders were given priority access to passport control !!!!!!  Now as per my previous post  i really like the Irish , however !!! If EU and non EU passengers are going to be treated differently an explanation should be given on landing.

Ohh and Q behind 200 EU taxi punters or get the local bus @ E 1.40 , ...bargain !!!!!

That’s a Brexit bonus for you - that they didn’t tell you about 🤨

Chris, you will from the end of 2022 need a ETIAS (visa) to enter, also FYI, with the UK being outside the EU. Maybe that will be the deciding factor as to whether you decide to spend your holidays & £‘s here or not, as well as being behind EU citizens in the line at the airport?

The explanation is that we voted ourselves out of the EU, we voted to be at the back of the queue, we voted to devalue our own currency, we voted to join the third world, we voted for a moron to lead our government, what other explanation do you need?

Litespeed, I couldn’t agree more with you! I didn’t vote for any of the above & hence moved here prior to Brexit because of it! What Chris doesn’t understand about this, I’m not entirely sure?

I’m surprised to hear of this, it’s not something we’ve encountered despite many flights since Brexit. We have been queuing behind other UK flights (which are by far the most numerous) but little bureaucratic delays. I am pleased to report that Brexit appears to have had little adverse impact and recently sterling has strengthened against the euro. Let’s get rid of the covid nightmare and life can return to its lovely normality. European vaccination has now nearly caught up with the UK so hope is high. Enjoy your time on this fantastic island.
