Hi Panama,

Thank you for your response. Lanzarote is our safe place, it always feels that we have come home whenever we arrive at the airport. Unfortunately at this time we wouldn’t qualify for residency due to our income not meeting the requirements but we live in hope. This will not stop us. We are look...

Hi Ken

I brought my dog with me! Unfortunately it isn't as quite straightforward as it once was pre-Brexit. If you're flying (as opposed to driving) pets can't fly direct as there is no longer a port of entry on Lanzarote. Our dog had to go to Madrid first before getting a connecting flight to Lanza. Other Canary Islands do have a port of entry but it can sometimes be just as tricky getting a pet from the islands to Lanzarote.

There are agencies who do all the leg work such as Petair or fetch a pet but it can be expensive.

Things may have changed since last year now that the pandemic is easing but it was a tricky operation getting our dog (and ourselves) moved during a pandemic, post-Brexit!

Good luck!

Hi Panama, we are definitely there for the New Year celebrations at the end of this year and almost certainly during the year, Covid permitting. It would be great to meet, thank you. We normally stay near the Galleria (BlueBar). Spectacular views from their seating area.

Best Regards. Ken.

Hi

I don’t see why anyone would leave because of brexit

There’s been a slight increase in crime of late according to the local police probably due to the economic circumstances but this is happening everywhere and is not due to brexit.

Things are still relatively good value eating out a bit more expensive and you can still pick up a pint for €1.50

Get a professional to sort out your T.I.E it’s worth the money and saves a lot of hassle
