Looking for a safe yet sociable place in Lanzarote to consider for a solo female (mid-age) visiting for the first time. Any recommendations? Thank you in advance...

Thank you, Tony - how long have you lived there? Appreciate your recommendation!

Just avoid the main strip in carmen after 12 am.  A few seedy nightclubs

Other than that everywhere is pretty safe😉

I would recommend Playa Blanca, you have 3 choices all in one place. You can visit the up market Marina Rubicon with its designer shops, separate shopping mall, nice restaurants and a lovely bar called Oasis. You could visit Papagayo Commercial with its more English feel and Irish music bars or the main town of Playa Blanca with its very Spanish look and lots of shops and beachfront restaurants. All 3 places are on a 30 minute promenade walk.

Let me know if I can be of further help especially as other people on this forum have been so helpful to me.

Thank you very much, Andrew! I greatly appreciate your feedback and suggestions - very helpful. I have heard many great things about Lanzarote - I am sold! Lol. Looking forward to some nice, sunny weather and friendly people. Enjoy your day x
