I’m really getting fed up with these taxi drivers

They insist you wear a seatbelt but refuse to wear one themselves around town and only put one on when using the autopista

I’m fine with wearing one but surely it’s just as important for the driver as well?

Hi Steve,

I have been a taxidriver for two years.

Rules are, passenger is obligated to wear seatbelt always. The same as you drive your own car.

Taxidrivers need to be able to flea the car in case of any threat by the passenger.

For example, if the passenger comes at the taxidriver with a knife. The taxidriver does not have the time to take the seatbelt of first. He is in great danger!

That is why the rules for taxidrivers is different.

Forgive my bad English, I am from the Netherlands.

Hope my explanation is clear.

I did that too.

Can not remember if that was a rule, but here is my guess:

The risk of dying in a car accident because you don’t wear a seatbelt is bigger.             If the passenger wants to harm you, he will not try this when you drive 100 km per hour. Unless they have a deathwish 😂

But as I said; I am guessing!

Maybe someone else can help you with this one.

Edit: I looked it up. On the highway the risk of getting assaulted is less, then getting killed in an accident. So the taxidriver needs to wear the seatbelt there.

I agree with that

What they shouldn’t be doing is being rude about it

Had a slight disagreement with one the other day

He said that the English don’t follow the Spanish laws and we should all go home

I said I think you will find you might find yourself out of work if all the English and Irish go home

He insisted the government would still pay him if he didn’t work as they did through lockdown

How stupid can you get ?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
