Is anyone able to shed any personal experience regarding shopping for beds, outdoor furniture, bbq's etc.
Is delivery a quick option? (particularly important due to time limitations)
Best places to shop, etc, etc.

We've found delivery very quick and reliable. We've used both Ikea and Nortysur in Arrecife (more or less next to each other and on a bus route). We've also ordered furniture online from both stores. Ikea is very similar to Ikea in the UK and great for many things you may need. Nortysur we were not familiar with but we've been very impressed with quality and value and picked up a few quirkier items. We also bought outdoor furniture from Home Zentrum in Playa Blanca (also have a store in Tias, I think), again very impressed - think they also do mattresses.

Looking for delivery of bigger items, like double bed. Hopefully within a day or two of ordering.

We've had large items delivered. IKEA usually within a day or two (but not counting weekend). Home Zentrum who sell outdoor furniture and beds delivered next day. Nortysur deliver once a week to Playa Blanca where we are and presumably they have a set day for other resorts.
