Hello all ,

My wife & I are looking at moving to live permanently in Costa Teguise hopefully when we can !

But unfortunately with this COVID situation not currently possible to get to Lanzarote to do anything.

But trying to get as much helpful info as possible.

Just asking advice please regarding who would you definitely use/recommend for property agent sales etc

Which independent lawyer/Solicitor to use .

Advice on post brexit residency application etc what’s the easiest way go about ? And how long does it take approximately.

What’s the approximate cost of utility bills council tax town hall fees etc per month for a 2 bed property.

Which private health insurance would you recommend plesae.

Muchas Gracias

Hasta la proxima

Best regards

Dave

Hi, we recently used Stephanie  at Clarity Consulting. She was so helpful and her fees are very reasonable.

Exciting for you, hope you can go soon.

hi Tony I have just got this from Steph!

I have notary appointments every day next week, so please do not ring in a morning.  The afternoon would be better.

But I can only tell you the same, that ALL of what you think you need to do, in practice you don’t.

Yes of course you can buy a property without an NIE.  You have it get it shortly after to be able to register the property.

You don’t need 34K in the bank, you don’t need a 90 day visa etc etc etc.

You can come and go as freely as you like as long as you don’t exceed your 90 days and there is plenty of time to apply for your residency.

In theory it’s difficult, in practice it really easy.

Hi Dave

Like you I'm looking to buy a property and get residencia in Lanzarote with my partner. I would be interested to find out how this can be achieved without getting a visa.  If it is possible, I don't get why hundreds of Brits are being kicked out of Spain as the 90 day visa status post Brexit is has now expired ??  Any info you find out would be greatly appreciated 👍

Thanks

Debbie

Hi Both

Apologies for jumping in here, we too are planning to move once the restrictions are lifted, we have owned property on the island since 2015 and Stef is our tax agent and advisor, she is brilliant and has told us too that there is currently a loophole but not sure how long it will be there.

We have been visiting since 1996 so know the island and many people well.

We are devastated by Brexit as we have planned this move for 5+ years but couldn't move earlier due to our sons schooling, my retirement and funds etc, our son was doing his GCSEs this year, but of course they have been cancelled, then we have had covid then Brexit.

We have a separate solicitor based in Arrecife who also has been brilliant.

If you need help just ask as I can give you accurate information on costs for our 1 bed in pdc.

We our selling our UK house to finance a villa in PB and the balance will fund another small apartment, hopefully to rent out.

If you need short or long term accommodation we do rent our apartment through Steph so you will find it on her website.

Thanks

Ange and Steve
